Jeremy Dunning is a professor of geology at Indiana University. He has served for eight years as dean of the School of Continuing Studies at Indiana University during which the school won 7 distinguished course awards from the UCEA (more than any other university) was ranked in the top three in all rankings of school of continuing studies, and was the first school at Indiana University to put all of its degree programs online.

He is the creator of the TALON learning object template suite which has been awarded the 1003 Sloan Consortium Effective Practices Award, the 2003 EISTA Best Paper Award, the 2004 ACHE Novel Use of Technology Award, and is a finalist for the 2004 Pirelli International Award (winners to be announced in June 2004). The TALON system is used by 29 universities all over the world. Dunning is the author of four books and nine interactive CDROM’s, including the award winning In Terra Active. He serves as a consultant to over 30 universities, four major publishers, and three ministries of education.
